Shane & Amelia chose Abernethy House for their Hunter Valley wedding photography. Beautiful gardens, charming guestrooms and heritage surroundings, Abernethy Guest House was the perfect wedding venue. Quiet and peaceful, perfect to relax and prepare for the wedding day with room for close family and friends to enjoy the ceremony and reception in one location.
A hot summer wedding with temperatures in the high 30’s for the Australia day long weekend wedding. Shane & Amelia chose to have a few photos taken around the gardens prior to their wedding ceremony. We set up a first look at the gorgeous double doors in the lounge room (which was also where Amelia and her bridesmaids got ready). A beautiful moment as they held hands and then looked into each others eyes then hugged together – this is their wedding day.
The heat of the day was difficult but we managed a few lovely photos around Abernethy House gardens.
Garden Wedding Ceremony
The garden wedding ceremony was held in front of an old rustic shed shaded by a large gum tree. Julie Muir (celebrant) officiated a beautiful ceremony filled with romance, tears, joy and laughter.
A short drive to Kitchener’s Heritage park historic mine site for some family and bridal party photos before heading back to Abernethy House for their wedding reception – Hunter Valley wedding photography.
Weddings at Abernethy House can be spread over the whole weekend, relaxing without time limits. 14 room guest house: prepare on Friday with an intimate dinner with family and friends, then after the wedding Abernethy house is the perfect place to host a recovery breakfast or lunch before everyone returns home.
