Hayden & Rachael celebrated their wedding ceremony and reception at The Convent Gallery, Daylesford on Friday 16th December 2016 – wedding photography Daylesford. A relaxed and informal wedding with mostly candid photography which our award winner photographer Kevin captured perfectly for Hayden & Rachael.
Joining the guests straight after the ceremony which was held in the historic church, Hayden & Rachael chose to sit with their guests rather than having a separate wedding party table.
When Rachael first contacted AJ Photography the main reason for booking: “What really attracted us to your business is that you focus less on formal/posed photography and more on candid photography which is exactly what we are hoping for.”
The Convent Gallery, Daylesford
Nestled on the crest of Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, over-looking Daylesford, the Convent Gallery boasts expansive views of the countryside and township below. The gallery is more than a three level haven of fine art in an historic 19th century mansion and is both mysterious and majestic, once known as ‘Blarney Castle’.
Ceremony choices are abound; six-acres of manicured gardens, historic chapel or a soaring glass conservatory. With a combination of contemporary, classic and chic interiors, architecturally magnificent glass-fronted function rooms include the St Lawrence room seating up to 60 guests and the St. Michaels room; seating up to 140 guests.
For a special wedding night, the Bride and Groom can luxuriate in The Convent Penthouse. Perched up high on the third level with 360 degree views, complete with a boudoir style curtained bed, hydrotherapy spa, two private balconies, fireplace and magnificent cushioned daybed.
