Sutherland Estate Winery, Yarra Valley
Although a hot summer day Nick & Amy were married on the decking at Sutherland Estate overlooking the vines and stunning views of Yarra Valley with many of their family and friends travelling from Queensland to help them celebrate in style.
A match made in heaven – totally in love with each other!
Both Nick and Amy work in the defence force along with over 90% of their family and friends. A great time was had by everyone with lots of laughs and dancing. Sutherland Estate Yarra Valley was the perfect location for a beautiful wedding.
Thank you for choosing AJ Photography to capture the wonderful memories of your wedding day.
Sutherland Estate winery
Sutherland Estate is a boutique, family owned winery located at Dixon’s Creek, a cool climate wine growing region of Yarra Valley.
Nestled into the side of Daniel’s Hill is one of the most spectacular vineyard sites in Australia. On high ground at the southern edge of the Great Divide, the cathedral-ceiling cellar door and large outside deck command impressive views down the Yarra Valley and far into the distance.
An open fireplace brings a cosy, warm and romantic ambience for cooler nights. On warmer, balmy summer evenings you can dance to your heart’s content under the stars on the spacious timber deck.
Ceremonies can be held on the deck, or on the lawns overlooking the vines, or inside the cellar door in front of the floor to ceiling windows with their incredible, panoramic views.
The 110 acre property itself is a photographer’s heaven, with many stunning and versatile opportunities from the 12 acres of vineyards, to the picturesque lake, to the natural bush settings, and to the majestic views of the Yarra Valley.
